Barricaded and forgotten these walls hold the sounds of few and the sight of one forsaken. Each moment spent is a reminder of the past. As the dawn approaches, new thoughts shine forth. Each wall tells a different story of the same event: Brokenness, deception, anguish, and fantasies of the darkest cavern hidden away in the flesh of a poured out life. From brokenness my heart bled for healing. From deception my eyes searched for truth. From anguish my lips screamed for hope. From the fantasies my soul longed for restoration. There is no healing here, only blood. There is no truth here, only darkness. There is no hope here, only silence. There is no restoration here, only loneliness. Rejection is a poison that corrupts the most innocent but loneliness is a blade which cuts the strongest bone, the purest of hearts. Men become lions, women become snakes; caged and bound; searching for purpose but craving only the damaged motivations it has come to recognize. Like an animal, solitude consumes and devours, like a python, solitude constricts and chokes the most valued of created beings. Born for greatness, born for victory, but who can defeat mediocrity? Who can overcome defeat? The challenges faced cough blood as this bitterness expresses the souls cry. From the depths of the lungs this frigid place pours out the losing spirits manifestation. Nowhere to turn. Nowhere to run. The darkness has closed in. The black has taken over….it has overcome. A small Light shines, bright and powerful, it is but a fading despair of what could have been. As quickly as day turns to night, so this Light has passed, alive but hidden.
